Many software companies begin life as a technology in search of a business issue. C3 is just the opposite. In 1997, the company’s two founders, Nicholas Couture and Greg Braun created the earliest versions of Yard Smart to meet real-world demand from a major trucking and logistics company for a Yard Management system that was nimbler than mainframe applications yet more scalable than the workstation systems on the market.
