Step 1. Plan

As a warehouse operator, you need to provide the business with the products they need, when they need them, at an effective labor cost. Before you can do this, you need to determine ahead of time what you are willing to accept and when. Otherwise these challenges can quickly become overwhelming. Planning is C3 Reservations' specialty. You can build a plan for each warehouse that will dictate who can deliver which product, at which facility and in what time period. This ensures that your carriers and vendors will respect your priorities and limitations when they request their appointments.

The following is a sample of some of the powerful features in C3 Reservations that will allow you to plan your scheduling.

Multi-Site

Manage all your sites from one location

You need to schedule to your stores, your warehouses and your third-party locations? No problem! C3 Reservations supports an unlimited number of sites and warehouse across multiple time zones. All this with distinct capacity management and user access. This means you can centralize your scheduling, provide enterprise-wide visibility while still respecting your regional particularities.

Flexible Constraint Model

Don't dumb down your operations to fit your software

Can't find a product that can accommodate your unique scheduling requirements? You're not alone! Most companies' scheduling rules & policies reside in an unorganized binder or at worst in a schedulers head. C3 Reservations allows you to translate all your constraints and exceptions into clear and concise rules. From a simple number of pallets per shift to a complex product oriented spread, C3 Reservations does it all. This means all your rules are now automatically enforced eliminating the need to manually process special appointments and exceptions.

Recurring Appointments

Eliminate the need for repetitive work

C3 Reservations allows your third party users to schedule their own recurring appointments. These appointments can automatically be scheduled a given number of times following a flexible recurrence pattern (eg. Daily, weekly, every other Tuesday for the next 5 weeks, etc).

Standing Appointments

Reserve capacity ahead of time

A typical scheduling system sometimes allows you to reserve a time for a given carrier or supplier. C3 Reservations goes a step beyond and also allows you to reserve physical capacity and restrict the load content of the allocated time. Your carrier or supplier doesn't use it's reserved slot? No problem! Configurable expiration dates can free up the reserved slot, allowing others to use this slot.

Rule Based Duration

Maximize Capacity by accurately calculating duration

You know what your average pallet unload time is. However, how often does a load take more time to unload than that simple calculated duration? C3 Reservations comes with a natural-language based rule system that allows you to compute accurate unloading times by including all the subtleties of shipments. Accurate unload times can only mean better labor forecasting and a more precise scheduling.
